The rules​

  • Decisions as ADRs — not lost in a call.
  • Squad docs per Diátaxis — reference, how-to, explanation, tutorial.
  • Status async, not in meetings — a written update beats a synchronous status round for two timezones.
  • The rule: anything a teammate or an agent needs tomorrow gets written today.

Why writing-first is non-negotiable here​

Two things in RAPID can't attend a meeting: the colleague asleep in the other timezone, and the agent. Both work from what's written. A culture that decides things verbally and remembers them tribally excludes both — and re-creates the knowledge silos RAPID exists to remove. Writing-first isn't bureaucracy; it's what makes the team and the agents share one memory.
